My background in historic renovation and the arts led me to join my husband, George, as a broker at Nostalgic Homes. Early in life, I had the opportunity to renovate the historic home of a riverboat captain on the Missouri River, rescuing it from a sheriff’s sale for $7,000! That led to a succession of projects, culminating in the design of a large theatre and restaurant in a historic warehouse in Albuquerque for which we won the AIA Honor Award.
We’ve lived in Denver for 20 years now; first in Congress Park, now in Highlands. There is no place on earth we’d rather be! I’ve been active with Historic Denver, and George and I currently serve on the Artistic Advisory Board for the Historic Elitch Theatre. We are committed to the success of that renovation effort and the opportunity to promote and support these productions.
My passion for architecture and maintaining the integrity of city neighborhoods seems to be a natural fit here at Nostalgic Homes. I find older homes, and the people who occupy and appreciate them, endlessly interesting. My greatest pleasure is in helping buyers and sellers navigate the process of home ownership, attaining and maintaining that most important and personal of life’s adventures. After all, “Home is where the heart is.”
