The neighborhood offers four parks that you and your family can enjoy. Pecos and 46th Park, Chaffee Park, Ciancio Park and Columbus Park are within the area. Sunnyside does not have as many dining options as Berkeley, but that’s not a problem since it’s so close to that neighborhood. Driving along Federal, there is a surprisingly green feel for an area this close to Downtown and major highways. It’s a residential neighborhood in the heart of the city, close to everything yet lacking none of the amenities of suburban areas that are further away.
If you are planning on moving into Sunnyside, here are some schools that you can consider transferring your kids. Trevista at Horace Mann, Columbian Elementary School, North High School, Skinner Middle School and STRIVE Prep – Sunnyside Campus. 38.67% of the community has achieved a college degree while 78.53% of the residents have a high school diploma. Colorado also offers the SchoolChoice program which can help transfer your kids to another school.
